I work in a job where I am dealing with people all day long. Because of this job, I have realized that manners have been thrown out the window and we are living in an unappreciative day and age. I’m not sure what is so difficult about saying “please” and “thank you”. Can anyone explain this to me?

We got some pretty good snow storms last night. Unfortunately I had to work this morning so I got to drive in it before they started plowing. However, the drive home was much easier! The picture is a view of my parking lot from my living room window – not too pretty I know, oh well.

Happy New Year!
It’s officially the start of a new year! How exciting, right?! We celebrated the new year with our friends Josh, Katie, Danny, and Tori. It started out with a bit of “F*** the Dealer” – settle down it’s the name of a card game mom! haha We then went to I5′s which is a nice lil bar in Huron down by the water. It’s only 2 minutes from where we live, so it worked out well! There was a cover band playing – that was claimed to be the best one around, but I didn’t seem to think so! They were okay, but didn’t really keep our attention – they actually made us want to leave! Then the DJ was an idiot and started the final countdown 10 seconds early – really? Lucky for him, people were too drunk to realize. But, as usual, I have a couple of photos (really, just 2!) of last night.

I’m happy the way I am
I have come to finally realize that I love my life. Sure, I don’t have alot of money, or the perfect body, or even a perfect smile. But what I do have is a wonderful husband, a family that loves me, and friends who are always there for me. I am tired of worrying about what other people think about me. I’m 22 years old – and that’s way too old for the wolf-pack drama where you have to go out of your way to make someone else feel miserable and bring everyone else to do so as well. Life’s too short to dwell on things. So go ahead and make fun of me because I can’t buy everything I want, or because I’m a lil pudgy, or have a gap in my teeth, or because I have a “ridiculous dream”. Calling someone poor does not make you any wealthier, and calling someone fat does not make you any skinnier. If having money makes you so miserable that you have to be so mean to others, I hope to stay “average” for the rest of my life than to end up miserable!
